This is a 2025 Ford F-150 STX equipped with a fully integrated Whelen CenCom Core control system with two 100-watt siren speakers and a handheld controller, all while retaining the factory center console. This lighting package features a full Whelen TRIO setup, allowing instant swtiching between red/blue and amber warning modes. This results in a versatile, multi-purpose vehicle that reduces fleet size and eliminates the need for equipment changeovers. The power distribution center is located behind the rear seat on a custom-fabricated panel for a clean look and easy maintenance while maintaining the functionality of the rear seat.
The front of the F-150 is complemented by a Westin Public Safety Division push bumper, headlight loops, and pit bar, providing ultimate front-end protection and more emergency equipment mounting options.
This build's Whelen warning light lineup includes Inner Edge FST and RST interior lightbars, U-Series Trio under-mount mirror lights, Ion Trio lights integrated in the Westin push bumper, and T-Ion Trio lights applied to the outer corners of the Westin wraparound and the rear license plate for 360-degree warning coverage.
These Ford power-folding tow mirrors were modified in-house to allow for mounting of the U-Series lighting, as there was not a mounting option directly from the manufacturer for this mounting option.
Using Whelen ScanPort vehicle integration, the Core system receives vehicle data and control inputs to allow event-based programming and automation. Features can include flash pattern changes based on transmission gear selection, automatic light deactivation when doors are opened, and other vehicle-triggered functions designed to improve safety and functionality.
This build showcases how modern vehicle integration and intelligent programming can take emergency lighting beyond simple on/off control for a cleaner, safer, and more capable upfit.
